~~Her Story~~

It was a warm spring day and I had nothing better to do, so I thought, let's check out that match.com thing. so I went online and took a look around and thought.. hmm... this might be worth a 30 day trial... what do I have to loose.

I started a search and there were soooo many profiles... but none of them seemed to say what I was hoping to hear... someone with a life outside of work, someone with passion and goals, someone who if they were a dad, knew how to BE a good dad without being told to or feeling they had to... they just WERE.... then along came this profile.. his smile was cute... he loved cooking... and the first thing he talked about was his kids and how important they were to him. He loved dancing and music PLUS!!!!! sooo.. i took the plunge and sent him a wink.... just a little hint to say I was interested...... he emailed me in return..... 3 days later.. we had our first phone conversation and it was so easy and simple and filled with alot of laughter...

We spent 6 weeks talking and emailing back and forth.. getting to know one another...then he came for a visit... and it was as if we had known one another forever, conversation was so easy, chemistry was definitely there and we have been dating ever since.

~~ His Story ~~

I had been trying the online dating “thing” for a while with Match.com and was about ready to give up when I received an email from this woman up in Ludington, MI  - actually I think it was a wink to begin with.  I read through her profile and she seemed genuine, confident, humorous, and shared some similar interests in sports and music.  All that along with a very cute photo!!  So I sent her an email response to let her know that I was interested and provided a bit more info to back up what I had put on my profile.  

The next night, low and behold there was an email from her.   So I fired one back to her and the regular corresponding began.  Within a few days, we exchanged phone numbers.  At the time, I was working 2 jobs that kept me away from my house from 7:30 AM – 10:30 PM, so by the time I made it home the next night of our first call it was late.  But she took my call and we ended up spending the next few weeks talking for hours on the phone into the wee hours of the mornings. 

The emails and calls continued for about 6 weeks before we took the next step and met.  I made the trip as close to Ludington as she would allow – Hart, MI, where on a Saturday afternoon, we finally met face to face.  I was definitely NOT disappointed when I opened the door of my hotel room and saw Kandy standing before me for the first time!  We both were a little nervous at first (actually, I think she was very nervous!!), but within an hour or so, we found the humorous banter that we had shared during all those hours of phone conversation, and any nervousness about meeting was put to rest.  That one trip to Hart was all it took because we made seeing each other a regular habit from that weekend on!!
